Alta Mons is the outdoor ministry of the Valley Ridge District of the United Methodist Church and encompasses over 850 acres of beautiful land in Shawsville, VA. Every year we have summer camp, which offers week, half-week, or day-long camping experiences for youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. Throughout the week our chaplain speaks to the campers about Christian topics like prayer, the church, and the love of Jesus. At night campers worship together around a campfire. Campers experience small group bonding with their units during arts and crafts, low ropes, field games, and sessions at the Nature Hut.  Each Wednesday all resident campers participate in Home in the Woods, where campers and staff set up campsites, cook their dinner over a fire, and sleep under the stars. Every camper receives a camp t-shirt (included with the cost of registration) that they will tie dye during their time at camp. Don’t miss out on the experience of a lifetime—register today!

With nearly 200 acres in the cool Allegheny Mountains near the border of Virginia and West Virginia, Camp Twin Creeks welcomes your camper to join its lifelong community of summer campers.

From arts and sports to water and adventure, Camp Twin Creeks is where friendships flourish, childhood thrives and independence grows! By unplugging from technology and the distractions of everyday life, campers are able to connect with new friends and mentors, try new things, and develop confidence and independence.

CB Soccer Academy will be holding 2024 Summer Camps at Cupp Stadium. The CB Soccer Academy Youth Camp offers half and full day camps for a variety of age groups.

The Christiansburg Recreation Center opened its doors on Nov. 9, 1997, and remains one of the Town’s most-utilized facilities. The Christiansburg Recreation Center serves as a hub for community fitness programs, various educational classes and health screenings. The Rec Center features a gymnasium with four full basketball courts, a walking trail, a weight room, a cardio room and much more. We also offer youth programs and summer camps.

Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Camping programs offer day camps, weekend overnight camps, and plenty of hiking, water fun, and archery experiences to grow their love of the great outdoors. At camp, girls explore the world around them, challenge themselves, and build their confidence, all while having fun with new and old friends.

The June Bug Center for Arts and Education (JBC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit dedicated to providing music, performing arts, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) through ongoing afterschool programs, classes, summer camps and community theatre productions that are affordable to the New River Valley community.

Summer camps are one of our favorite times of the year! Summer camps are typically week-long camps for students of all ages from June to July.
